I was told at the begining of my visit to Dr Khan that my co pay was $40. I told the receptionist that Medicare would pick that up. She told me I would have to pay the $40 up front then when medicare pays I would be reinbursed. After my colonoscopy medicare paid $24.50 towards the $40 which I should have been refunded. Aetna only paid $25 instead of $40. My total refund came to $39.50. My $39.50 check was in the Covington office but wasn't signed and Mae [supervisor]refused to sign and give it to me. I called and left a message with her two days before but she never returned my message so that's when I decided to go to her office in person. When I got there she told her receptionist to tell me she was in a "meeting" [she knew why I was there]. I called the police to try and get my check that way. The officers came out, one spoke with me and the other spoke with the receptionist to verify if in fact I had a check there. It was confirmed I had a check there for $39.50. The officer wanted to know how soon would the check be released the receptionist couldn't give him that information.
Since that incident I decided not to go back to that office and mae decides to drop me from that practice [which I don't care]. A nurse from that office even sent me an email telling me she would send my records to another Gastro Doctor once I find one [which I did] and my current doctor's office have not gotten my records yet; it's been 4 weeks. mae also decides to deduct other incoming bills from this $39.50 check to keep from refunding me at all out of revenge. There was a bill from Aetna that came in for $9.96 and another for $62.00.
mae and her billing staff are not billing medicare on two of the invoices; the one for $9.96 and the on for $62.00.
