ebay octovent/ john bricker NON WORKING ICE MERCHANDISER internet, California
I purchased an ice merchandiser through EBAY with EBAY BUYER PROTECTION
I paid 629.00 dlls. plus 307.00 dlls. in advance for item to be delivered.
The seller's user name in EBAY is OCTOVENT/ John Bricker.
Seller sent me a NON WORKING ITEM which I reported inmediately to EBAY
EBAY sent me a messagge not to worry about since I have EBAY BUYER PROTECTION
EBAY required pictures and a written estimate to make a decision at resolution center.
EBAY decided on february 29 that I will get my money back for original purchase and freight cost only.
EBAY required me to send the item back which I paid an additional amount of $ 230.00 dlls.
Ice merchandiser was handled incorrectly by carrier and suffered a partial damage to the glass door
Fortunately item was insured and agreed to pay an amount of 377.00 dlls. for damage.
EBAY specialist named Scott D called me and explained that EBAY would pay me the rest of amount once he call the insurance adjuster to verify that the amount of $ 377.00 will be send to me.
Freight Co. is requiring an additional $ 230.00 for services on several attempts to deliver item.
I purchased this item on january 28/2012 and I have spent over 1,700 dlls. plus 9 weeks waiting to get my money back.
At this moment EBAY sent me a message stating that case is closed and I won't get my money back!!!!
Does this sound and looks like a RIP OFF?
I think that all consumers out there need to be aware about these fraudulent practices on internet which are becoming more common everyday, We need to do something about this soon!!
