My ebay sellers account was restricted from selling due to 3 complaints on delayed shipping and a con artist lying. I sold items and unfortunately had a medical emergency arrise. I was hospitalized for emergency surgery so I could not ship right away. I notified the buyers as soon as I could. I completed all transactions even refunded money and sent many extra's for the delay and what do I get negative feedback and an account restriction.

I emailed ebay trust and safety and explained what happened on my end but do they want to hear it? NO. I have to wait 30 days and maybe they will reinstate my selling....but only if I have positive feedbakc form he buyers. I have 3 buyers who have not left any feedback on previous transactions.....I can not make people leave feedback. And the feedeback system sucks. Buyers can no longer get negative feedback..just sellers can get it. We can not alert people to bad buyers....ebay treats there sellers very unfairly.

Come on ebay wise up before we all start leaving...no sellers then no buyers and then no eBay. Us sellers are what keeps eBay going without us there is no eBay!!

My husband is active duty in the military with a mobile unit that can get deployed anywhere in the world with less than 24 hours notice. This does not stop my husband from having over 40 auctions going in two weeks time. If they close out and he is gone, then he has me package and ship his items. You can check us out at 2007gmcpu or angelbaby3969 on eBay All it sounds like is that you are complaining about the fact that a customer, who was BUYING an item from you, left you negative feedback. Did you forget that without your BUYERS, you wouldn't be making any money at all? We have been on eBay for about 8 years or so and have always held the opinion that if someone buys something from us, we leave them positive feedback the moment they pay for their purchase, and at this time, we have no further obligations to feedback. If we end up with a non-paying bidder, well then we get our fees back and relist the item. We don't whine and moan about how we should be able to leave them negative feedback. Remember, without buyers, we don't have a business. Just as you want to be paid immediately, our customers do not want to wait for forever to receive their items either. If you were in the hospital, I would have seen to it that someone else could have taken care of my obligations until I could resume them myself. If someone didn't receive their items after 30 days, or even three weeks after the end of an auction, they have the right to complain, I know I would have. Your customers (Buyers) are rating you as far as how you perform as a seller. Do you ship quickly? Do you describe your items as they are? From looking at your eBay account you don't even have three negatives, there are two and one neutral. Your feedback rating is only 31 and only 11 of those transactions are for you selling anything. Not a good way to start off a business, especially when your auction for the auto harp had 3/4 of the page of what should have been the item description is actually you ranting about what people should do before leaving negative feedback, blah, blah, blah, and two lines about the item itself. Personally, I wouldn't buy from you because your listing that I looked at put me off without looking at your feedback.

Ebay Is Bottom Dollar Only, They Don't Care - Just Ask Them!

Agreed, this type of manipulation by eBay is unfair and unjust. They want sellers to be patient and considerate when they have "glitches" yet they pass down set rules and policies meant to treat all folks like intentional manipulating con-artists and scammers. Everything to them is black and white. Unfortunately, they allow and even encourage scammers both in the buying and selling venues. I don't know how many times I've reported obvious knock-offs and misrepresented items from overseas, ie China and Taiwan, yet they continue to proliferate listing pages with their penny junk. Ebay's "feedback" policy encourages scam buyers who end up hurting the individual seller and further line the pockets of ebay. I am moving to another online venue, Online Auction, or OLA.com. They don't charge listing fees or final value fees (commission). Unfortunately things are slow there but I see lots of refugees there from ebay. They are fairly new and are currently making a lot of changes as the site develops. And the atmosphere is totally different and positive, a direct reflection of the ebay attitude. Your getting suspended is so sad. It's your merchandise, you pay the fees. Ebay has no right to say you can't get sick.
