Tell us has your experience with this business or person been good? What's this?

I read several online reviews about this company, but wasn't in a hurry to make a TV purchase.  So - I called them, imagining the opportunity to purchase a $4,000 TV for just over $2,000 (Sony Model 75x940d).  The sales person assured me that it was in-stock, and that yes - it was available for that price, just place my order online.  So I did.  FIVE DAYS later, I still hadn't even heard from them (e-mail or telephone).  I called back, after which I was transferred to a "technical specialist" who plugged the classic BS about model differences and availability.  "Apparently," they were out of stock on the model they listed on their website, the "UC1" version.  They could sell me the UC2 ("higher pixel quality") for something like $3800.  Surprise!  These of course were COMPLETE LIES.  Sony doesn't manufacture this TV (or any other) carrying the same model number with different qualities.  I of course refused, and told them I wasn't surprised at their tactics.  They cancelled the order.  Complete BS.

So - just for fun, I called them back about 2 months later.  After my previous episode, they bumped up their listed price on that TV from $1979 to $2699.  After they attempted THE SAME sales tactics, I revealed to them they had cancelled my order for the "so called" UC1 model.  They then proceeded to attempt to negotiate a lower price than was offered the previous time around.  $3350 was as low as they would go.  (This was funny, as after I called them out on it they completely dropped the discussion on model differences.)  I told them Amazon had it for the same price...  And then of course refused, as the entire phone call wasn't really intended to make the purchase, but just to verify HOW TERRIBLE THIS BUSINESS, and THESE PEOPLE ARE.

SCUM!  I seriously hope NO-ONE out there is biting on this SCAM.  Obviously, people are... otherwise they would be OUT OF BUSINESS! Sad.  RUN AWAY.  If it's "too good to be true"...  It most likely IS!  If you think you'll achieve different results, you’re a fool.
