I followed all the requirements for ecampus.com to send books into them to be bought by them. I shipped two books that they valued at $70.75. Ecampus.com says that a check will be mailed in 4-6 weeks.

After 8 weeks I tried emailing ecampus.com several times with no response from them. My account on their website shows that they received my books and accepted them and that the check was being processed.

After 2.5 months after several emails, I finally received a response that they had had a technical problem that was holding up the shipment of checks.

It has now been over 3 months and still no check and they are back to ignoring my emails.

This is the only email response that I have received from them in answer to by 10 emails.

"Thank you for participating in our buyback program!

Due to recent technical problems we have experienced, it will take longer than the normal 4-6

weeks for your check to be printed and shipped. Once the check has been printed and processed, we

will mail the check to the address given on the order via US Postal Service.

I just received a check for the money that Ecampus.com owed me. I also received a letter from the Kentucky Better Business Bureau with a response from Ecampus.com. Ecampus.com told the Kentucky BBB that they strive for 100% customer satisfaction, but that they are growing at such a large rate that some people fall through the cracks. Ecampus.com told Kentucky BBB that they were expediting a check to me right away. The check and the letter arrived the same day, so I was surprised. They also stated that they have been in the middle of a systems upgrade that was causing delays. I'm sorry, but I work in IT and it doesn't take 4 months to upgrade a system and when you are upgrading a system you still have the old system running so that you can do business. They also didn't communicate very well and ignored repeated emails that they didn't address in the letter, but at least I have the money.

I wish I would have known this information before. Customer Experience Based on BBB files, this company has an unsatisfactory record with the Bureau due to unresolved complaint(s).
