ECPI OF CHARLOTTE When attending Ecpi.... dont get ill or you will pay!!! literally! Charlotte, North Carolina
In February 2008, I decided to switch majors entering a degree for criminal justice. Later on into the year after taking many classes. I was enrolled in an english class whenever I fell ill in Aug-Sept. Sometimes I would miss class and my instructors and the staff thought I was just "laying out" I had medical issues that resulted in me having to take a very strong pain killer. In which I wasn't about to drive 52 miles round trip to and from school on these meds!!! So I presented papers to support what I was going through. I had alot to deal with at that time so college tuition and financial aid were the last things on my mind, MY HEALTH COMES FIRST!
I took a medical leave @ that time and a withdrawal from the English class I was enrollled in at the time. Little did I know, (and it was not addressed) that I owed at the time 2,700.00 + dollars for the class I had just filed a withdrawal from. They didnt care that I had gotten sick....THEY ONLY WANTED THE CASH! so 8-10 mths pass by and I get a statement in the mail during "tax time" and the tuition is now over $3,000.00 this was in 2009. I now owe Ecpi close to $4,000.00 which I believe is unfair. I want so badly to go to another college and take my credits that I rightfully earned with me! But I was told that I couldnt because I now owe $4,000.00 which is TRULY unfair! If I do....now I have to start over! Its not right at all! I hate I ever set eyes on this school or attended because now I know they do not look out for the best interest of the student but for their pockets!!!!! I wouldnt recommend Ecpi to anyone!!!!!!!
