This breeder required a $400 deposit for me to have 1st pick from two litters of Papillon puppies yet to be born. Due to a medical diagnosis, I informed them I would not be able to purchase the puppies when they were born. What I was not told, is that their deposit was Non-Refundable! I was only informed of their policy when I asked for a refund of my deposit of $400 prior to the puppies being born. I WAS DENIED THE REFUND.
NO REPUTABLE DOG BREEDER EVER ASKS FOR A NON-REFUNDABLE DEPOSIT FOR PUPPIES WHO HAVE NOT BEEN BORN AS I HAVE SINCE LEARNED.
BUYER BEWARE OF THIS DOG BREEDER.

After re-reading Mr. William Caroline Edwards e-mail today, I failed to see that Mr. Edwards stated he would refund the entire $400 deposit if I would remove the original report I posted. Unfortunately, Ripoff Report does not allow for removal of a post made in the past.
In addition to my Update made today, I find that Mr. Edwards is highly reputable by refunding my entire deposit.

Today I received an e-mail from William Caroline Edwards owners of Edwards Chihuahua/Papillon Ranch located in Colorado Springs, CO. Mr. Edwards stated they were refunding one-half of the $400 deposit to secure first pick of their Papillon litter of puppies yet to be born last December 2013.
While I am unable to remove the previous report I posted, Mr. Edwards is demonstrating a good faith gesture by refunding one-half of the deposit. I hope this update to the previous report I posted will encourage others to view Edwards Chihuahua/Papillon Ranch as a reputable breeder.
