Edwards Hyundai, Sales Staff Worst Sales Staff Award! Council Bluffs Iowa
Three days later and I am still shocked and a bit disturbed by the treatment of the sales staff at Edwards Hyundai in Council Bluffs, IA. For those of you who want the main point only, do not bother visiting their dealership. It will end up being a complete waste of your time and they simply do not deserve your business. For those of you, who want the story, in brief form here is what happened.
We visited all three Hyundai dealerships around the Omaha/Council Bluffs area this past weekend. I believe most people check out the inventory and when serious about buying a car also get multiple offers. The first dealership we visited in Bellevue didn't really have the inventory of the kind of car we wanted. They tried real hard to keep us there while they tried to find something which was annoying but they never treated us badly. We headed to Edwards next and while the first part of our visit was fine and we found the exact (and I mean exact) car we wanted the rest of it was far from fine. As soon as we began the discussion of the deal the sales person we dealt with completely changed. I have purchased 5 cars prior to this, my husband a few more than me, and he has assisted his family on many other deals. This was the worst treatment ever. (My husband has some horror stories, as lets face it we all do which, I won't get in to here but believe me this was bad.)
The sales person took the car selling process beyond the worst part of what it can be and became the very reason people hate car salesman. He went way past belittling us, lying to us, and the annoying parts of jerking the buyer around on the price that they all do. He was downright arguing with us, completely rude, and wasnt remotely professional. Most of us dont enjoy dealing with sales people but believe me its bad there and come to find out it is their typical mode of operation. Do not waste your time, gas, money, or breath on them. My advice, head to Stan Olsen in Omaha at the Westroads! Good selection and our salesman was really great to work with and is actually someone wed deal with again. (That is the first time either one of us felt like that.)
