EEOC Tampa,Fl Julia Diaz lack of investigating tampa, Florida
I was under the impression that the EEOC was to help fight for citizens riggts at work. I was hired at an animal specialty hosp in April of 2011. I have systemic lupus so shortly after being hired I began to become very ill.
I was hospitalized several times. I was hospitalized at the end of July. My diagnosis was pneumonia and congestive heart failure. My boyfriend call my job spoke to a supervisor and stated I was being admited and what my diagnosis was.
After being hospitalized for one week I was released. A few days after I returned to work. I worked my typical shift and by the time my shift was over I was called into the office.
At that time I was told due to being ill and missing days I had to be let go. Shortly after being filed I decided to file a complaint with the EEOC.
What a joke...we agreed to mediate but ut was never prooerly handled. So my case was turned over to an investugator. What an even bigger joke.
My investigators name was julia diaz. The very first time speakng to her she was rude and spoke in a very condescending tone. She began to talk as if she had already made a decision on my case before even starting to investigate. She then tried to get me to accept the hispitals offer. After stating I had already retained a lawyer she became even more rude and disrespectful. Her investigation consisted of reading a response letter from the hospital. I barely was able to tell my side. I even had given her names of people who where witnesses. I am floored and frustrated. The hospital flat out lied. Sad thing is is that they also tried to lie to unemployment but at least unemployment was smart to say wheres your proof,documentation. The investigator just read what they said and said oh ok they did nothing wrong
