Sir I posted the comments below yours and forgot to mention this. I do not know the status of this but also when I was doing my internet search on this company something popped up that gave me the impression that this person may also have tried to or plans in the future to also sell/install alarm systems or those senior medical alarms, which I find alarming! Alarms should go off when he or any employee of his companies approaches. Another thing to be wary of. I have asked my relative who was fleeced by this guy to refer all sales calls or offers of "service" to me from now on. Perhaps your kind neighbor would not mind screening those calls for you in the future. Also anyone who presents to my relative's home in the future will have to be willing to present and allow me to scan their photo identification and if they have a problem with doing that they will be invited to leave.

Sir you are very lucky your friend had the foresight to investigate first. If you urged your friend to look further they would find that the company that says they bought out Efficiency Experts in Floral City (was it Cool-Aid?) is owned by the same person and it's just a ploy to get into your home and your wallet because they know they have a bad reputation in the area and they didn't want to have to pay their own bills. Never invite someone to your home when they have made the call to you. Always get more than one estimate from a contractor for any type of repairs. The reason they know when your AC was put in is they have the records because they are one and the same person/company really. I have found this out through my own research as an elderly family member was "visited" by them recently at some expense. I fully believe if they couldn't come up with a legitimate reason to say you needed repairs, that they would make a reason while in your home, if you get my drift. They do business everywhere in the area. Have your friend look up Michael P. Watkins in Citrus Springs and find out for yourself. I wish you could get the police to take him away too but the best way is if we stick together as consumers and try to look out for each other because this guy isn't the only one out there looking to take advantage of the elderly these days. Bless you and good luck.
