Tell us has your experience with this business or person been good? What's this?

My dog died of congestive heart failure on February 21, 2010. She was almost 18 years old and I refused to let her suffer any longer. I had her euthanized and she was cremated with the remains to be returned to me. Making that decision was one of the hardest things I've ever had to do as a pet owner.

I immediately bought a marble urn, to have ready when her remains were returned. It is a beautiful urn, but something was missing. There was no identification on the urn, which indicated that my dog's remains were in that urn. The urn felt incomplete.

I immmediately decided to get an urn medallion for the urn, and went to the internet for suggestions on what to buy. I came across a company, eleganturns.com, whose prices seemed decent, and offered a view of a medallion that had been finished already. It had 3 lines of inscription on it. That was just what I needed.

I input the information that was called for, but personalized it, paid for the item, and it was done. I felt a sense of completion. Over a week went by, and I didn't hear from the company, so I emailed them. The response I got back was cold and harsh. It said you get 2 lines of inscription for 25 dollars. Do you still want it? I thought to myself, that's odd. That's not what was shown, or asked for upon my checkout process.

I emailed the company 5 times, and still have not heard anything from them. I understand that maybe I missed something that said only 2 lines are free, but I would have gladly paid for the 3rd line, if their response wasn't so crude. To this day, I have not received the urn medallion, and I can't help but wonder, how do you steal from a grieveing person? That's like waiting for a person's most vulnerable time to do the worst to them. I asked for the order to be canceled, since I hadn't received it anyway, but was never given the credit to my bank account.

I don't understand why no one will contact me. They were given my email address, which I know they have because they used it to send the one and only message that they sent to me. I also gave them my phone number, which I told them to use if there was an issue with me persoanizing the inscription, but they never called.

I just want others to know not to do business with these people. It's bad enough that a person has to deal with loss, whether it's a family pet or a person, but then to come across a company who truly should not be in the afterlife business at all. Where is the compassion?

I still have not heard from them, despite my emails, and I also never received the urn medallion. Beware of this company. They are not good people in general and really don't care about those who have suffered a loss. They took my money and gave me nothing but bad memories in return.
