People, I have traced out where the charge has come from, and the one that we are concerned over is where AVG virus programs were purchased for our computers. If you will look in your e-mail receipt at the bottom, it list the very company that you do not recognize that you made a payment to. element 5 - a service of digital river - www.element5.com Digital River GmbH Vogelsanger Str. 78, D-50823 Cologne, Germany CEO: John Strosahl Corporate Headquarters: Cologne / HRB 56188 / Cologne Local Court

For the past few months charges have been appearing on my husband and my credit card statement from www.element5info.com. A charge was made on 2/20/08 for $29.95 -- that charge went unnoticed and unquestioned by me. On 4/25/08 there was another charge for $29.95. I e-mailed my husband, who has been deployed to Afghanistan for the past 6 months asking him if he was familiar with the company. He replied in the negative. I immediately called American Express and challenged the charges which were made on his credit card (the card was in the U.S. with me). Today, I checked our Amex account online under "recent activity" and noticed two charges on 6/12/08 for $39.95 each from www.element5info.com. And, just as Christina of Roseburg, Oregon indicated, there was no contact information listed, just an address of the Republic of Germany. I was indignant and called Amex to challenge these additional charges and also request a new credit card for my husband. After contacting Amex I decided to look through prior e-mails again regarding online purchases and lo and behold, I discovered that the charges were for our annual subscription renewals for PC Tools Spyware Antivirus software. We have 3 laptops and 1 desktop computer, hence the 4 charges over the last few months. At the bottom of the confirming PCTools e-mail was a small notice that advised that our account would show a charge of "www.element5info.com" and since they had my husband's credit card info on file, that was used to automatically renew our subscription for each computer. In today's criminal environment of stolen identities and credit information, PC Tools has a credit charging system that immediately makes one suspicious because of the way the charges appear on our bill with the lack of contact information, but the bottom line is that the charge is indeed legitimate if you have been ordering PC Tools software. I hope this update helps. Thanks.

I saw the same DRI WWW ELEMENT5 INFO(Services and Merchandise) on the my credit card and did not recognize this charge. When I did a google search this rip of report came up (which scared me) and other software download websites came up. Then I remember that I purchased a piece of software from a website by downloading the software and paying for it online. That was a relief. Arun M
