I have paid for my vehicle and they repossed it and are now trying to make me pay 2000.00 more for it.


I am writing this complaint in regards to this companies Sales Practices and the overcharging of a vehicle that I have paid for already according to the information that Debbie Oliver gave me over the phone on May 28,2010. My vehicle, 1997 Mitsubishi Mirage was reposed by Elite Auto Sales, Inc on May 28, 2010. When I called the owner to see how much would be needed to get the vehicle return back to me he said $300.00, he then placed me on hold and a Debbie Oliver returned to the phone. This is the same woman I dealt with in the purchasing of the vehicle in Feb of 2009 and have been dealing with up until March of 2010 before I went in the hospital due to a mental breakdown. She then states that if I bring in the entire amount which once I found and went over my agreement is $500.00 and maybe late fees for $132.00 the car is paid for. Now she is telling me that I owe financing fees which have already been paid, late fees for $132,00 and a towing fee of $395.00 for a total of 1917.00.

After I went over my payment information with her to compare to what she had in her so called system, I believe that she is trying to get extra money from me. I have the paperwork for my vehicle that states that I would have left pay $3,095.00 and I have paid 3,520 as of March 2010. I have called back numerous times to speak with the owner and all of a sudden he is not in the office. When I signed my agreement it was stated that the final total amount of the vehicle was 4195.00 which included everything, the financing fees for $564.74 and I have paid a total on the vehicle of $3, 520.00 as of March 2010. I agree I owe late fees but to try and attempt to get almost an extra $2,000.00 dollars from me for a car that wasn't even worth 4195.00 to begin with according to Kelly Blue Book the value at fair condition, 146,238 miles 1997 Mitsubishi Mirage was less than 650.00.

Also they are very nasty and disrespectful when I ask them is my car at their Fayetteville Rd location in Raleigh, NC. They will not allow me to speak with the owner and place me hold on for 20 minutes a time. I have file a complaint against them with the BBB and I have requested my car be returned to me and I want to have them pay for my lost wages of $519.00 because I had to take a week off of work due to no public transportation or a ride to get to work and back I took a week unpaid so that I would not lose my job.  Also, I called the Attorney General's office and spoke with a Rose Mary and she told me that I am at the mercy of the owner and he can ask me for any amount of money he wants in order for me to get my vehicle back. I hope that this is not a true pratice and if so then how many other people has this company done this to and gotten away with. I work hard for my money and I can't afford to throw away $3, 520.00 to have nothing to show for it. This company must be held accountable and must pay for the damages that they have caused to not only myself but my children as well.
