I recieved a phone call from Gateway/Emachines. After I left a message for a superviser concerning my problem. She was very short with me, but did tell me to call back the customer service and give them my updated info. I did that and they gave me new confermation numbers. So we will see if I get my rebates... I still have issues with this company... They with out a doubt need to have some better coustomer service skills. Now had the first woman I spoke to let me update over the phone and explained to me how to submit my addy so my rebates would be processed this could have all been avoided... But instead she YELLED at me and told me "I needed to pay better attention to my dealings if I dont want to throw away money." Rude and uncalled for as far as im concerned. I will continute to do buisness with Best Buy but for Emachines/Gateway.. NEVER AGAIN!

I work for best buy not emachines.. but here's a suggestion to get your rebate.. contact your local post office (or usps.gov) and lookup your exact zip+4 zip code the 98052-xxxx .. if you want your $$$ be humble.. apoligize your the one who screwed up.. not them.. they are perfect.. resubmit your request with your "correct" address.. which is *** rd ave est Suite#35 (with your zip+4) 99% of the time.. the post office will deliver you rebate check just fine.. I have a private mailbox I just put down "suite 123" technically USPS says it should be "PMB#123) nobody cares the issue here about PO Boxes is that the rebate companies refuse to send to them because they think your running some type of rebate scam business.. they want a street address (probably make more $$ selling your so called "home address" to junk mailers) Agreed.. Best buy wants to get the heck out of the rebate business .. at first the idea was great.. 50% of the people forget to send them in about 5% lost in the mail.. another 10% forget paperwork, or some excuse not to pay.. that leaves 35%.. then 5% forget to cash the actual check.. leaving payout of about 30% this works well for $5 rebates.. when it's a $100 or $300 people tend to keep track & get really upset. resubmit with your apt# or suite# and it should be fine.
