Undergoing Renovations!  This complex has been advertising  MUCH PAST DUE - very mediocre renovations for over 2 years.  Yes, they are an inexpensive complex in the heart of a great area - buts its no excuse to operate like a ghetto.

I lost everything in the financial crash and had to start over. Ended up here - but couldn't afford a Renovated unit at move in, there were none anyway.  As a "resident"  I'd have first dibs on the renovated units as they came available.

I have never seen a worse maintained - outdated complex in the City of Virginia Beach! They def keep up appearances - the grounds appear park like out front!   They PAINT over the kitchen counters! You can smell the mold in the HVAC units.  These units have not been updated for decades! The maintence staff works like dogs just to keep crap running on bandaids.  I had no heat - no working appliances, AC went out as soon as summer hit - bathroom ceiling fell in from water damage & mold.  The pipes leaked into the bedroom closet walls - molded - then flooded the carpet.

After 2 years I demanded a renovated unit.  If you get one outside of your lease renewal  they charge you $300 to transfer apts.

When we found a renovated unit that would work - it required me to extend at my current unit 2.5 months.   So the office got permission to waive a $300 transfer fee down to $99 & set out to arrange everything.

They screwed up and rented my apartment out at the lease end instead of extending it 2.5 months!!

Then they expected me to go move somewhere else for 2.5 months  and come BACK to the renovated unit I was slated for! All at my expense for thier mistake.

I had to find the clause that allowed me to transfer to another Breeden Property - in order to resolve the problem.   Oh yeah..did I mention I found out about the screw up 10 days before I had to be OUT!

I had 10 days to find a place, scrape everything together, clean, pack, work my FT & PT jobs -

They posted a notice saying I had to give access to workmen during this because NOW they were renovating MY APARTMENT - ( they'd be done in 2 days - tells ya what kind of renovation they're doing)

After jumping thru every hoop they ever threw at me - I got the permission AND PASSED INSPECTION -  to be a inter company transfer - and then they BILLED ME  $624  ,for damaged carpet  they threw out as part of the renovation!!! Carpet that was damaged when the pipes leaked,  Carpet that was over 3 years old. yeah that stiff crappy apartement carpet with no pad.  Of course I didn;t pay!  now I'm being sued!
