Tell us has your experience with this business or person been good? What's this?

I have dealt with this company twice.  I bought my son a honda civic and within two days the clutch went out.  They sent me to their mechanic, but it still cost me $500.00.  Recently, I purchased yet another car from them (stupid me), but my son wanted this 2003 mazda protege.  Beautiful car.  Bought it in May.  It is now June and the crank shaft is messed up and it needs a new engine.  This is going to cost $5000.00 dollars.  I bought this car for $8968.00 and now have to put $5000.00 dollars in it.  I could have bought him a brand new car for that amount.  I will be sending them a bill for the engine, not that it will do any good.  I have thought about hiring an attorney.  I hope no one has to experience this companies deceptive trade practices.

I contacted this customer regarding the dissatisfaction she has with our dealership. The second vehicle that was purchased for her son was a 2003 Mazda Speed Protege with a 5 speed manual transmission and 78K miles for $7999 before TT&L. She explained that her son had heard a "knocking" noise coming from the engine compartment approximately two months after the date of purchase. At the time of our conversation, she was unclear of how many miles her son had put on the vehicle. She decided to take the car to Mazda of Clear Lake in Webster, TX where she had received an estimate for them to provide and install a new engine. I explained to her that there were other options available and through our dealership could get an engine from a local auto recycler with a warranty installed for under $2200. This would be an expense she would have to be responsible for since she declined to purchase a vehicle service contract at the time she purchased the Mazda. I further explained that I would personally facilitate and oversee the repairs at a local and reputable repair center to eliminate any further "headache". I am not aware of her son's driving habits nor am I making any assumptions, but I would recommend anyone purchasing a "sporty" vehicle for their child to do two things. Purchase "full coverage insurance" and a "vehicle service contract". This will help cover unexpected and unwelcoming costs for young drivers as their driving habits mature over time behind the wheel.
