We agreed to attend a timeshare sales presentation for 6000 pesos at Torenza in the Marina area as per the street promoter. When we finally arrived the next morning, the cab driver was instructed to take us to Encanto Bahia hotel in the Emerald Bay area instead. After a vacation club sales presentation where we were told for the price of $7900 we can buy 200 vacation weeks to use up in 50 years. All we have to pay ever after the purchase price is $648 for every 10 day all inclusive vacation for 2 adults and 1 child at any of the listed 88000 resorts in their inventory. Even our airfares were covered by turning in 3 weeks of vacations each trip we take. The math didn't make sense, as air taxes alone from Canada to Mexico runs you close to $400 each and for a company to claim, no worries, this is our way of marketing; if you are not happy you have a year to cancel. We all know that only the 5 day rule to cancel is enforceable here in Mexico. So, we declined. We were then told we would only get 2000 pesos and not the 6000 pesos. This is to warn all that if you go to a presentation; you can expect them to even scam and refuse to give you the promised gift after when you won't buy.
