I have an endurance Vehicle Service Contract. I took my vehicle to my local Ford dealership for a slipping transmission issue. An inspector was sent out to verify the failure and a week later I thought I was good to go to get the repairs made. Instead I was advised by endurance that a tear down of the transmission is needed to determine "cause of failure". A second inspector would need to come out and assess. This would require an additional 6 hours of labor on top of the 3 hours of labor that was already done. I advised endurance that the dealership is recommending that the transmission be replaced.

I was advised by endurance that the teardown was necessary as it may be a small component that could be fixed. I advised endurance that I feel like they are looking for any reason not to cover the repair. I followed through and did what was asked and waited several more days for tear down and inspection. Now I am told that the repair claim is denied because of a seal . I asked endurance how the seal directly correlates to the failure in the transmission (2nd gear slipping). I didn't receive a clear answer on this.

I feel that there are some questionable practices taking place in regards to my current claim and would like a resolution. I have not received a clear answer on why my claim was denied. It seems as though I am now required to pay labor costs to have an inspector come out and find a reason to not cover my vehicle. I have done everything by the book on my end and I would like for endurance to follow through with a resolution on their end. I received a call from what they call a lead agent and was 1st offered a waived month then a 200 dollar credit and finally a 1200 dollar refund of payments made into my policy.

The 1200 dollars won't even pay labor costs of the shady endurance "cause if failure practice". The dealership made it clear in the beginning that the transmission needed to be replaced. Instead of honoring the claim endurance is now processing a refund for my money paid into the policy and kicking me off. I drove my vehicle in for repair thinking Endurance had me covered but will not be driving it anytime soon due to the waste of time and hassle that this company put me through. What a ripoff! This company will do everything in their power not to make good on a claim.
