Engine Pro Parts And Warranty Program They sell a warranty with their engine kits that is virtually useless Grand Rapids Michigan
I own an automotive restoration facility in omaha ne. The machine shop that I use for engine rebuilding offers a "3 year warranty" program on the rebuilt engines for an additional charge. The program is sold through Engine pro who also supplies the parts for the engine. Unknowingly I have offered this warranty to several customers over the years
Twice over the last 10 years we had had an occasion to try and file a legitimate warranty claim. Both times we were met with ridiculous requirements by engine pro to initiate the claim. Once you jump through the hoops they then want you to send in the parts so they can analyze them. Meanwhile the car sits taking up space and the customer is without their car. After analysis, only then will they offer a ridiculously low amount for labor and they want to supply the ching chong repalcement parts that are of the same quality as the first.
This "warranty" program is a RIPOFF in every meaning of the phrase. I'm sure they see it as a great revenue generator.
