Engine World - Houston usedjapanmotors.com This company is passing off High-Mileage, JUNKED USA made motors as Japanese Domestic Motors Houston, Texas
This company falsely represented the product as a "Low Mileage, Japanese Domestic Motor" and instead sent me a High Mileage, Junked, USA made motor.
When my mechanic received this motor he immediately identified it to be older than 40,000-60,000 miles that the company claimed. After doing more research, I discovered that the oversized 2.7 liter, 4 Cylinder Toyota engine I have is NOT even used in Japan. So, there is absolutely NO WAY it could have come from Japan.
This motor showed up and had a new head gasket recently installed and evidence of dried "frothy oil-water" mixture under the oil-filler cap. My mechanic installed this motor using all new, genuine Toyota parts and replaced more parts than required including clutch and flywheel. After putting LESS than 100 miles on it, the main bearing went out.
The company is refusing to take my calls and is essentially ignoring me. They lied to me throughout the entire process and have not sent me any documentation testifying to the origin of this motor.
Do not do business with this company!
My next course of action is to dispute the charge and consult an attorney to recoup the $2400 in labor and parts I already invested.
