Enhanced Services Billing ripoff Missouri
Had a 24.99 bill show up on my phone bill with tax 26.49 for 2 months and caught because the last page of the phone bill was in the wrong place and just happened to look at it and catch this billing.- SBC/AT&T said call the company that is billing you - enhanced is just a clearing house and they forwarded me to some company who wouldnt give me thier name - but agreed to cancel the account. But wouldnt remove the charges - they said you signed up with your phone # and last 4 digits of your social security for web access and voice mail. I explained to them why would i do that when i have voice mail via my phone company and broadband via my cable company - they didnt care and said we will cancel the bill and send email confirmation - I am still waiting for the email. This is such a freakin scam, think about how many people they must get and they wont remove the charges - even if it is $25 for 2 months imagine if you had 25,000 people they scammed like this. Unbelievable - the attorney General needs to get involved.
