Tell us has your experience with this business or person been good? What's this?

I rented a car from Enterprise in the LAX area and they are now charging me $1,868.95 worth of damage that I did not do. The rep who showed me the car did not even do an inspection and left. Before I even left I saw the scratches and dents and such but I presumed that they must have had a pre existing report on the rental car. Now I am trying to get a hold of the damage recovery unit to speak to the person in charge of my claim. When I returned the car back to the same location they seemed to act surprised as if they had thought I got into an accident. How am I responsible for damaging the Roof Moulding when I hadn't even had any luggage or items put up there? There was also a deep scratch along the drivers side door that was about a meter long. I am sure that once enterprise decides to answer my calls that I will be able to prove that I am not responsible for a ridiculous $1,868.95. Even enterprise shoulf have cameras everywhere that can point out pre existing damages and a pre existing report on the previous rental. I am hoping to get in touch with a rep that will be able to give me access to these and I know that I will be able to dispute this false claim.

You get insurance to cover the car...you don't try to do it ON THE CHEAP. You may be able to use your existing insurance, credit card insurance or buy a special policy for car rentals. You do t do it on the cheap! Before you leave with the car, YOU have it inspected and you do the walk around with the inspector and HAVE THEM write up ANY damage! When you return the car, you INSIST an inspection be done in front of you and get the paperwork signed off there was no damage. From your own admission here, you cannot prove you did not do the damage because you don't reference the pre-drive off inspection nor the inspection when you dropped it off.
