Equestrian Escapes UK Do Not Book A Trip With Equestrian Escapes Internet
Equestrian Escapes falsly advertised servies. Wife and I booked an equestrian treking trip in the Loire Valley, France. On there web page and in the itinerary they listed, and had pictures of, horseback riding to castles and chataus. They even listed they had Lustano, French Saddlebreds, Hulsteiners and Throughbreds to ride. The night we arrived we found out that we were given the wrong directions to a cottage we rented. It was in a completely different town. We had to pay for our own hotel and meals due to it being late at night and called the agency the next day. The agency admitted fault, said they would pay us back for that night and never did. When we arrived at the stable we found out that none of the horses advertised were there and that there was no riding to wine tastings, castles or chataus. We were criticized for complaining. We got to ride what I would call a pony but they called them cobs. My horse had a horrible trot and canter and I asked for a different horse. This was considered an insult and I was told I was a bad rider. We have our own horses and over the years I have won several horse shows. Eventually I was given another horse which I had no trouble with. The owner rode the horse I had complained about and admitted the horse was sour from over use. All we did was ride on roads. The country side was nice but not as beautiful as where we already live, Oregon. We left two days earlier completely disgusted. Equestrian Escapes blamed us for being Americans. They said we were spoiled. They said there had been another complaint by an American. It was the Africa trip where it is advertised that you ride with garaffes and even a picture of it. Equestrian Escapes was surprised that the American actually thought he would be riding with garaffes. They even told us another American never showed up to the stable we went to and they never heard from her again. I suspect she drove by the dump and never returned. We lost a lot of money, time and pleasure dealing with this company. Beware!
