This is the ad I read in the paper: Reliable Home Typist Needed Immediately. $430/PT-$825/FT Guaranteed! Simple Data Entry. Make Your Own Schedule. PC Required. 1-800-757-1037. I called about this and left my number. I received a call later that afternoon from a man, who never told me his name or the name of any company he was associated with. He said he was returning my call and he gave the information about the job. This job listing was for typing insurance forms. He said no one wanted the FT jobs just the PT ones and "they", whoever that is, were falling behind because of it. They only had one PT position left open though. I asked him what kind of software was needed to do this job and he told me mediclaims, which usually runs around $600, but he could sell it to me for $275. I told him I would have to think about it and let him know and now I'm glad I did. I was doing a search for the software when the rip off report showed up. The only info. I have is the number that is listed in the ad and I'm not even sure it's the same guy, but if someone wants to check in further to this please do so and I hope you catch this con artist.

I just checked and find that Eric Hopkins is still at it scamming people with his work at home employment. As I stated in my original report, I contacted the NC Attorney General's office. I submitted all the information I had on this guy. I received a letter from the Attorney General's office dated September 11, 2007 stating they had sent letters to the addresses I had provided. As I thought, the letters were returned marked "no such number/not deliverable." I wish there were some way this guy could be caught. Until such time he is going to continue stealing money from hard working people. If anyone has a suggestion on what steps to take now, please let's get this guy put away for good!

I sent all the info I had to the NC Attorney General's Office. I have also informed the Federal Trade Commisssion regarding Eric Hopkins. I was told by the Attorney General's office that this is the most difficult type of scan to stop. Hopefully the Federal Trade Commission can help. If anyone has any updaetd information let me know.
