ESL Cafe assists known scam artists by letting them advertise fake ESL & TEFL teaching jobs on their web sites using either their real names (like China ESL, ESLInsider, WiseWay Global, etc.) or allowing them to post "blind ads" for jobs that do not exist. They then sell the resumes they collect to various multiple buyers including some that are identity thieves. People complain about this regularly but when they post their complaints on the ESLCafe forum they get deleted and then banned - especially in the Korean, China, and Japan sections. People who send emails to Dave Sperling are ignored. Dittof for the moderators. People have complained about this devious scheme at many different scam reporting sites like scam.com, realscam.com, and various TEFL and ESL message boards, but this fraud is so old and big that they never run out of victims.

They further have many employees posing as "teachers" using 10 user names like "Nomad Soul", "SH Panda", and "Kong" as well as allow many agents and recruiters to false pretend to be teachers that give phony praise and endorsments to their job placement services that are not even licensed. They create fictional characters and even pretend to be Chinese employers. They were exposed by China Scam Patrol and others in 2012-2015 but they are like a roach that ill not die.

The jobs they do offer are all the low-pay garbage jobs and when someone points out that all of their jobs are about half of what the average teaching jobs pay in Korea, Japan, or China they get deleted and banned. They simply do not want people to know the truth. Over 200 "users" were "banned" since 2014 simply for posting factual information that is not convenient for their business. If you search the net you will find many people like these below who agree ESLCafe is biased and without ethics. They will knowingly accept money from crooks no matter how many people they have cheated in the past;

Hundreds of innocent people who trust ESLCafe.com get deported from foreign countries every month because "black" visa and job agents advertise there telling people to deliberately get the visas they know are wrong or illegal and failing to disclose legal requirements. ESLCafe even deleted information posted about a huge Hepatitis outbreak in China since it would be bad for their placement business in that country. The China Teachers Alliance even suggested that ESL and TEFL teachers boycott the website completely based only on the extensive censorship. My former flatmate was a victim of identity theft because ESLCafe allowed the thief to post ads under names they knew were fabricated at ESLcafe.
