Tell us has your experience with this business or person been good? What's this?

I responded to an ad on Craigslist for a Pink Carpet Event where they needed models to do a photo shoot.  After responding to the ad, I was told that I needed to choose a location close to my home like a basketball court, a field, studio, salon, or swimming pool and they would send the photography and makeup artist to that location.  I would be compensated $750.  I sent them an email saying that I have choosen a location that was convenient for me and wanted to know when was the photo shoot.  The next email I received was they was sending me a check to cover my expenses for the photoshoot and wanted me to contact a guy name Mr. Bryan at his email address which was [email protected] to set up a schedule between Tuesday and Friday for the shoot.  I received a check today for $2,850 made payable to me drawn on the Bank of America.  After going to Bank of America to cash this check, I was informed to contact Lien Phan the person who wrote the check because they couldn't cash it and wouldn't tell me why.

Please be careful with these ads on Craigslist.  This particular ad didn't ask for any money up front and had the whole event planned out as if it would really take place.

I even looked up the Magazine called Essential Magazine and it was a legitimate website.

I became suspicious when they ask me to wire $2,200 of the check to Mr. Bryan to cover his expenses and I was suppose to keep the rest.
