This company has very questionable business practices.

When we picked up the car, we got a hard sell for a timeshare from one of the agents. This time share had nothing to do with Europcar. When we refused, we got very unfriendly treatment. We should have feared the worst at that point.

When we returned the car, we were charged in pesos, even though we got the car from expedia in a USD contract and were quoted insurance in USD as well. This is fine, but the exchange rate was severely stacked against us, and with the extra currency conversion charges from the credit card company, we ended up paying quite a bit extra.

The worst thing is we were told to pay for a scratch on the windshield. We were 100% sure it wasn't our fault, but after some arguing, they just went ahead and charged it to us on our credit card. We never agreed to it or signed for it. But they forged our signatures and stuck us with a receipt. It was shocking and we didn't have time to dispute as our flight was leaving.

Our $250 car became $600. Don't use this company. Avoid at all costs!
