Everest Institute is a waste of money and time. Dearborn Michigan
I thought I was doing myself a favor by going to a technical school where I could have hands-on training and one-on-one time with my teacher. I didn't know that paying $16,000 dollars meant that I would be teaching myself how to become a medical biller and coder. My teacher sat on facebook everyday all day while we tried to do our work. I thought I would get lucky and my externship site would hire me but i wasn't one of the lucky people. They were supposed to help me find an externship spot and it took them almost 3 months after my course was up. The first site they sent me to was nowhere to be found, it was in the middle of the ghetto in a building that had all of 3 stores or offices in it. After I graduated and they are "supposed" to help you find a job, they gave me a lead to a doctor's office in Taylor, MI where the doctor accused me of being a spy. Just all around an awful school and it makes me not want to go back and get a degree in fear of exactly what I went through at Everest Institute.
