When working for Everest, you sign your time cards. After 4 months of not signing them, I questioned the person in charge. This is when I realized that my Director, Brenda Laker, had been changeing my arrival times for over 4 months. I went to her to ask about it and all she had to say was, "We'll need to talk about it later." No these are MY pay checks, not hers. So I called the MI Dept of labor and was told that this is ILLEGAL. An employer can not change your rate of pay without permission or notification!!!! When I went to speak to our president of the school, Mrs. Gloria Stender, I was asked why I called the Dept of Labor and why did I not follow Everest protocal? F@*^ protocal!!! I asked her if she was threatened by an employee who is entitled to know their rights? Let someone mess with her check, and then see what she would think. She also stated that it was not against the law to change an employee's time card without their permission. Everest seems to make up their own rules and regulations.
Well, the president ended up paying for any/all time taken away from me BUT 1 week later, THEY FIRED ME !!!!
