I am an older adult (not some entry level individual) who has worked at employment agencies placing people in jobs both blue collar and professional positions even in the recession of the 1980s. One of the first and most critical concepts we were instructed about was show your client (applicant) the same respect and courtesy you show your employers.
Apparently, this agency location does not share this same philosophy. You take your applicant into a private room or a cubicle so you can focus your attention on the most important person at that moment your applicant.
Let me preface this next section with we are small business owners in the Waxahachie area and when we here the stories from individuals wanting jobs about Express Personnel we are horrified.
I must say, I am simply appalled at the manner in which they do business and aghast that local Waxahachie businesses use this company to fill their employment needs. I understand there is a recession/depression and unemployment is high, but the disrespect this company displays to applicant is unbelievable. Most certainly, the employers using them must realize candidates with any credentials would walk away.
Specifically, the company cancels applicants appointments shortly before their scheduled interview time. This has a cascading effect. The applicant not only has arrangement their CURRENT employment schedule to accommodate the interview, but it delays the applicants opportunity to move to another employment situation. Many times the position they responded to (or enticed with to put in an application) is gone by the time they are rescheduled.
The most egregious, irritating, disrespectful, etc. act this company does, it while they are interviewing an applicant, the interviewer continues to take inbound calls from other potential applicants. This sends a very clear message to the interviewee, they are not important enough to ascertain what the best fit for them is. It should send a clear message to Waxahachie business who use them, they are not paying attention to the applicant so the credentials and objectives may not be a match.
I know from research they are a franchise, but someone from Oklahoma needs to have a long visit and audit this site.
