Factory Cat also know as R.P.S. Corporation, has known Warranty issues from using defective parts.

Which includes but not limiting, Drive motors,Tanks and Controllers (also know as the computers).

These parts fail way too often and so much they denythe warranty claims due to they was not filed correctly or make you run through hoops in hoping you'll eventually give up.

The tanks are suppose to be covered under 8 year warranty which end up cracking and leaking, Factory Cat says they have fixed this problem by beefing up the tank to a thicker plastic but guess what ... they still crack and when they do, good luck in getting it replaced under warranty.

As for the Drive motors, Factory Cat says they have fixed this problem by going with a different motor but they still fail and some new machines still have the old style motor on them even though theyare junk,I guess they had to get rid of them somewhere.

When the drive motors fail the machines dead and then you have to push it out of theisles or where ever it may diebefore your doors open and you let your customers inlike at Sam's Club.

But Factory Cat don't tell you if you push it, the drive motor creates DC current and damages the speed controller (The Computer) and then you have a 2200.00 drive motor and a 900.00 speed controller you have to replace, and your only hope it that it's still under warranty, and that's if you can get that covered under warranty andeven get reimbursed for the parts.

There has been many come forward with the same issues and not getting any of these problems covered under under warranty, which we are all getting together a class action lawsuit.

If any of this is too familiarwith you, than please post your experiences and join our class action suit.

Don't let them rip you off just because they're a big company! fight back.

Operator has nothing to do with it!

You say the operator needs to be trained but this is not the case with the complaints.

First. The tanks crack from a mold defect in the corners and not the operator. There has be many others Crack, so much they redesigned them, and they sill crack. The point is, they tell you the tanks have a 8 yr. warranty on them when you purchase the machine. Then they wont cover them!

Second. lets say your machine has the key out of it, and the key is locked up in the office on second shift and you need to move it to get to some product, if you try to push the machine, the armature in the drive motor generates voltage, that back feeds to the controller which will takes it out.
This was confirmed by a Fatory Cat Technician to me when they denied warranty for the 900.00 Controller.
The Tech said the only way to keep this from happening again I needed to go into the control panel and unhook the positive and negative coming out of the controller to the drive motor to keep from damaging it, or disconnect the two wires on the drive motor in the future, if I had to push it again.
(NOTE) All other machines on the market can be moved or pushed out of the way, until the repair man comes without damaging machine if needed.

Third. I had a new machine with an older style motor they used on the earlier model machine, which has had a purple/blue tire. Factory Cat said they had problems with that motor due to the windings in the armature would heat up and the machine would start slowing down then stop. You could let it cool off and it would start working but start slowing down again and stop. The solution was to up date to the new motor which is 2,200.00 which is not covered out of warranty.

They let it slip when talking to me, that this model should have had the new style on it, and I think they knew it had the old style on it, and they were just trying to get them out of their inventory.

So please tell me. What does this have to do with the operator???

The issue is not the machine, but the operator.

I see a lot of these machines with the same problem. The issue is the same with any battery powered machine. If you still operate the unit when the batteries run down and overheat the motor. Then you will have problems. These motors are very dependable when operated properly. You need to educate your operator better.
