Fairbanks Capital Corp Aka Equicredit Foreclosing on my house consumer rip-off fraud Jacksonville Florida
Back in June of 2002, I made two payments to Fairbanks knowing that I would not be able to make one in July because of factory shutdown/ vacation.
I made another one in August and they sent it back to me telling me that they couldn't accept it because it wasn't enough. They proceded to tell me that I was behind in my payments.
I asked them how much they needed and they told me around $1900.
I have recently went through a divorce so I thought maybe I was behind. I sent them a quick collect payment from western union, which I always do, and they sent it back too.
I have since quit paying them but now they have put a lien against my ex-husbands new house and he is not very happy.
I need some advice as to what to do. If anyone can help me I would appreciate your help.
