I have been with this company for over 3 years now. I can not seem to get away from them because they always hold my mortgage payment way past the due date before posting it to my account. I started mailing my payments certified mail with a return receipt, but it still takes the company at least 1 week to sign for the letter and another 3 to 7 days before the money is posted to my account!!

I am trying for another loan with another company (which is approved) but the problem now is after a week of trying to get the info on me from Fairbanks, I now find out they they are going to charge me an out landish prepayment fee of over 4000.00 dollars! I never knew this was in the loan or I would have never taken a loan out like that. I have tried to call to speak to some one about it but as usual you can never speak to a manager. I haven't got a statement from them since March 2002, so I'm not even sure how much I really owe. I got my attorney involved but they would not speak to him either.

This is a bad company that should not have peoples mortgage's. They add all sort of charges to the mortgage with out any explanation and I can prove this in black and white because I have my payment history from them for the year. I have tried to turn them over to the banking commissioner, but the problem there is they do not follow under PA. banking laws so there is nothing that they can do.

I can only hope to be with another company soon and be done with Fairbanks once and for all!! If anyone reads this please give warning to anyone thinking of going to this company. There has to be a better mortgage company out there to help people with impaired credit.

Fairbanks Capital Corporation I am gone!!!!

I just wanted to let everyone know that I am now free from Fairbanks as of 9/25/02. I have got a new mortgage company, but not with out the high price paid to fairbanks. The amount it cost me to get away from Fairbanks is in the tune of 10,000 extra on my mortgage loan. But it was worth it I think. Fairbanks charge me a prepayment penality and I didn't even have one in the original contract, but that is something I can fight now that my home is safe and away from that company. If anyone else is in need of a new loan to save their home go to Centex! They are great!! Good luck to all.
