Fairbanks took money from our checking, in an unathorized matter, to pay a mortgage payment that I had already paid. (The payment included the mortgage payment, false hazard insurance fees and unnecessary foreclosure fees) This caused major hardship to my checking. It caused NSF's, embarrassment and so forth. Because of their error, I was not able to purchase my monthly prescription for a chronic lifetime illness that I have. After so many days without the medicine, which did not add anything positive to my health situation, I finally had to borrow it from an outside family member. The outside family member was a senior citizen on a limited income. I was quite frustrated and embarrassed. Borrowing money from this individual put them in a very tight spot to pay their bills.

Fairbanks continues to charge people like myself, and others, fees for hazard insurance when proof has been given several times over. (I even have a letter from Faibanks stating they rec'd my hazard insurance proof, but we have been charged for it by Faibanks for almost a year) Fairbanks continues to charge people like myself and others, fees for foreclosure when your payment is updated.

Unless you demand to speak to a supervisor..forget it. Even when you do speak to a supervisor...it's not completely resolved. I keep trying to get the exact amount of our payment. Every Fairbanks rep I talk with gives me a different amount and they don't know why it's that amount.

I got a printout of payment history. It's a joke to read. I think it was just copied from the computer screens. There is nothing uniform or structured about it.

Fairbanks should change their name to "Foreclosure Capital Corporation".

Two months after the closing, we were getting delinquent letters from Fairbanks.

We sold our home and escaped Fairbanks [newly named so at the end of 2002]/Olympus by our closing date 12/30/02. Two months after the closing, we were getting delinquent letters from Fairbanks. Phone calls ensued to read them back their own conflicting letters that the loan is indeed PAID IN FULL. They were very late in sending [inaccurate] tax information for us to do our 2002 tax filing. And - the interesting thing is that we have received a series of (file being kept) of checks from this company since closing - ranging from $2000 - $100.00 for 'misc' payment return on 'overpayment' or 'refunded' monies we'd paid on our mortgage. None of the checks or letters accompanying the checks say exactly what account area the money is being refunded from. Normally it would reflect perhaps the Escrow, PMI, Late fee or some other catagory of accounting. These checks are not designated to a specific account. Perhaps they feel the noose tightening around their corporate corrupt necks? While cashing the checks back on OUR money is somewhat welcome, this does not excuse the year and a half relationship we suffered at the hands of Calmco/Olympus/Fairbanks. They make the old KGB look like rookies. HAS ANYONE ELSE GOTTEN 'REFUNDS' SINCE CLOSING? Our mortgage with Fairbanks was in MN. We now reside in RI. Never thought I'd be happy to be a renter, but we need a break from hassle as well as time to correct our credit reports which, hopefully, joining all of you will accomplish. YOURS IN FRUSTRATION AND HOPE OF JUSTICE.

Before I begin I just want to say that: FAIRBANKS needs to be out of business and the only way that will happen if the court will ERASE ALL DEBT from us to FAIRBANKS. For everything they have done and are still doing every customers MORTGAGE DEBT PAPERS to Fairbanks should read: PAID!!! We finally made some headway on the forced insurance that Fairbanks had put on our loan for 1 year!!! In November 2002 I tracked down a supervisor at Fairbanks and would not get off the phone until they processed my information regarding my insurance. December 2002 showed they had taken off the forced insurance but they wouldn't credit the funds to my account it went into some suspension account. I couldn't believe it!! A suspension account on top of everything else they have done to us including taking an unauthorized payment from our checking account. They said they would credit the funds to our account only if we paid so much on the account. March 29, 2003..I get a letter from the Fairbanks Insurance Dept stating that my insurance carrier rating is unacceptable. Hello!!! I am with Montgomery (Peerless)Insurance Companies based out of Keene, NH. Montgomery has an A rating. How better can you get???? Today, 3/31/03, I just talked with the Insurance Dept at Fairbanks. They have me with an insurance carrier called Mutual Insurance Association in Indiana that apparently has an unacceptable rating. What a bunch of crap. It's just a ploy to start adding on the forced insurance to our mortgage.
