Do NOT trust this company.  I read a few other reviews on the web and dismissed them.  Why?  Because the price was good.

But here's what happened:

1. Fairway asked me to wire them money because there  was a "problem" with my credit card.  There was not.  I called my credit card company.  They just didn't want a record of the money being sent.  Who asks you to wire money?  Someone reputable?  Think about it.

2. Fairway threatened to leave my car somewhere on the side of the road if I didn't meet their demands.  I eventually sent them a postal money order.  At least there would be a record of the transaction.

3. Fairway is just a BROKER.  They don't own trucks.  So nothing they guarantee matters.  Do NOT trust the price they quote you.

4. When my car showed up, the driver demanded $140 more than the agreed upon price.  This is because Fairway agreed to one price with me, and, apparently, a different price with the trucking company.  They no doubt figured I'd just give in.

I had read online about this happening.  And in one case, I saw that the "owner" of Fairway said that the bill was for "expedited shipping."  Not in my case, it wasn't.  It was just a scam.

I got my car back because I called the cops.  Plain and simple.  I said that the driver was holding my car for ransom.  I had the emailed contract in hand.  I had the agreed upon cash amount in hand.  And they were refusing to release my car.

In the end, Philly PD forced them to give up the car.  But you might not be so lucky.  What if the cops don't get there in time?  They will, as they THREATENED ME, "drive the car to an undisclosed location and leave it there until you pay."  They also told me that if I called the police they would charge me $70/hr. for every hour the driver was delayed.

DO NOT TRUST FAIRWAY.  DO NOT.  DO NOT DO NOT DO NOT.
