The report filed against Richard (Rick) Wyatt, Mandy Mussleman, and Family Adoption Services is totally false. The adoption case was filed in Probate Court in Alabama. The birth mother had her own lawyer and a Guadian Ad Litem (a lawyer) was appointed to represent the interests of the adoptees. All of the allegations made by the drafter of the original false report posted here were before the court. The court heard testimony from the birthmother and her family. Thereafter, the court found completely in favor of the adoptive parents. The court found that the agency and its employes were misled by the birth mother of the children who hid facts from the agency. The birthmother also lied to the agency concerning her age and other facts. For example, there was no evidence of a so called rape other than the birthmother's testimony. Even though she knew one of the rapists, no arrest had been made. The court determined that the birthmother had a properly appointed Guardian Ad Litem before she signed her consent to the adoption as required by law. There was no payoff and these children were not bought as claimed. After extensive testimony and the entry of exhibits into the record, the court found that the birth mother had given a proper and legal consent and that adoption of these children was in their best interest.
After the trial while still a minor, the birth mother was charged with murder in conjunction with a robbery where she was a participant.
The birth mother also filed an appeal to the Alabama Court of Civil Appeals. The appeal was denied and an opinion was rendered in favor of the adoptive parents. The case is now totally concluded in favor of the adoptive parents and exonerating Richard (Rick) Wyatt, Mandy Mussleman and Family Adoption Services.
These children are in a much better and safer place.
