Tell us has your experience with this business or person been good? What's this?
There were a number of us (around 125) that purchased these blue "Save cash on gas" booklets for $24.95. The majority of us sent them in right away. Thinking WOW saving money on gas will be great.

Little did we know - sounds too good to be true.

I sent mine in during the last week in April. Finally my self addressed envelope came back to me July 2nd. Only the contents were not what I sent away for.

In my envelope I received a card that says "As Good As Gold". On the back there were directions to go to a web site "tryitforgas.com" and sign up. Not knowing what I was doing I did this. After you sign up then you fill out surveys and sign up for little trials then get a $10 gas voucher. Also in the envelope was another red booklet to save on gas, hotels, air fare, resturaunts etc. Again Not what I sent away for.

I tried to call the number on the booklet and got a recording. So I got a hold of the actually person who sold us the booklets. He then was able to get in contact, after hours of trying, with Family Marketing.

We were told Family Marketing was going to send us the real gas cards we sent away for at the beginning of the next week - July 9th. How they would know all the addresses (since we mail in a self-addressed envelope) was beyond me.

Well it is July 22nd. Not one of the 125 purchasers have received a legit gas card.

I have seen and heard poeple talking this promotion up please just remember... when something is too good to be true - think again.

Well. it is August 1, 2007. Not one of us have been issued a true gas card. When I was able to get ahold of customer service they informed me they ran out of of other gas cards so these were taking the place. So in other words they have NO "true" gas cards and they were substituting "tryitforgas" cards. I believe these are the only kind of cards they have. When filling out the coupon you specify what company you would like to get your card from. "Tryitforgas" was not an option. SO if they ran out of one why not give you another one? With these "tryitforgas" cards you have to go to the internet and sign up for ring tones, memberships before you receive a gas voucher. The customer service lady told me if you cancel your membership in 30 days you won't be charged. HOWEVER, I went to the site and tried this and 8 out of ten require money. Oh I almost forgot you have to give them a credit card number too. Again NOT what we were told in the beginning, otherwise we would of NEVER sold 125 of these booklets. We raised the money as a fundraiser to help because some of our players can't afford to go. We raised enough for camp and everyone was able to go. But now that this was a scam we need to raise money to give back to the buyers of the books. Plus we don't know how to go about getting the money back that we paid for the booklets. (about $2500.00) Big mess. If you are reading this please tell everyone you know. I keep hearing about these bokklets. I just tell them "It's not what it sounds like DON'T buy one".
