I write this in hopes that I may spare someone else the trouble that I have put up with for the past year.
Victoria Fuoco and William Alcrow of Fantahausen Dobermanns are NOT to be trusted. In fact, for their shady business practices and fradulent ways, they should be in jail.
For my case, and I am sure many others, these theives are in direct violation of CKC by-laws, and the Animal Pedigree Act.
These CONS sold me a red female doberman puppy one year ago for $1000.00, and I have been fighting for the registration papers, I was guaranteed to get, ever since.
When I first brought my girl home, not a week went by before she became ill. For the next few months she battled re-curring bladder infections and was medicated and tested over and over again, before she was diagnosed with a tipped vulva as being the cause. This is a mild deformity, if you will. Vicky became angry when this was brought to her attention, and denied that there was anything wrong with her or any of the other puppies.
Needless to say, I paid for the necessary corrective surgury and that cured the problem. However, Vicky refused to answer or return my calls after that.
Then my girl developed a cyst on her hock. Yet another surgury (and analysis of the lump).
Next, my girl started to drip urine, leaving puddles wherever she would lay down. This was found to be an estrogen deficiency. Now she will be on estrogen for the rest of her life.
Since Vicky was no longer taking my calls by the time my girl was 6 months old, I decided to send her photos of my girl, taken at all angles, via registered mail. This was a condition in the contract that I was obligated to meet. (Even though Vicky had just seen her 2 week prior, I felt it best to send this package also.) Vicky refused to accept the package and it was returned to me.
Now we get into the registration nightmare. I was advised by the CKC that Fantahausen Dobermanns had 6 months from the date of sale to provide me with the papers, but after that time had elapsed I had not received them. Again I contacted the CKC and faxed them a copy of my contract. The CKC advised me that the condition that the breeder see my dog at around 6 months of age needed to be met first (and I would have to prove it), and that the breeder would have 6 more months after that to provide papers. (I proved it)
Again I waited....again no papers. So CKC finally started to investigate.
Low and behold, my dog could not be registered!! The Dam that was listed on my contract was not registered with the CKC in their (Fantahausen's) name. AND, the registration number that was used for the Dam (Moonstruck) just so happened to be another dogs registration number.
Can you spell F-R-A-U-D boys and girls.
At this point I have been advised that there is nothing more that the CKC can do for me, as Victoria and William refuse to comply. This case is now being sent to the Diciplinary Committee for review.
And now I am compiling my evidence to take to a lawyer.
Please take heed to the warnings....these people are crooks and not to be trusted. BUYER BEWARE!
