"Oh what luck!" I thought to myself as I realized the only distributor of the parts line I required was located in my own country. With my list of part numbers and online pricing I called up to do business.
The staff seemed friendly and knowledgeable and the prices seemed standard; I placed my order with confirmation of a 3 week lead time. That left 1 1/2 weeks of buffer time for production's timeline requirements.
Over 2 months later, after babysit calls twice a week, two mis-invoiced shipments and countless suggestions that "I should not worry", it now looks as though my order *may* arrive complete.
When the 'final' shipment left last week, I called Farmtronics and asked my salesperson if they could verify the contents of the shipment as the previous invoice and parts were wrong. I was told they definitely had it right this time and that checkin up on the details would not be necessary.
Upon it's arrival the following week, (shipping again charged to my account), I nervously, I opened the loooong awaited shipment. Sure as skat, the mistake that occurred with the previous shipment had become compounded. I wanted one part, was invoiced for anther and actually shipped yet another. (Insert the sound of a cash register ringing up countless items as bills from external contractors working around and without the parts skyrocket the cost of the project).
I am exhausted to think of ever doing business with this company again. their lackadaisical approach, inability to take initiative and complete lack of concern for customer satisfaction compels me to wave the red flag.
Caveat emptor, (buyer beware), and in particular, of this institution.
