I recently called fatherschoice and was immediately led to believe I had no problem winning my case etc. Within minutes I felt something wasn't right as the individual I spoke with sounded more like a semi-educated used car salesman on the hustle than anyone remotely affiliated with a law firm. After recieving absolutely nothing, nada, for my $98.00, I found myself being pressured to authorize $845.00 in additional charges on my credit card. I called back and told Joel I'd decided to get a (real) attorney and wanted to stop any charges as I felt I'd be better off. Joel assured me that he was in customer service and that it would be taken care of. I nevertheless sent a cancellation e-mail anyway.

It reads as follows:

per telephone conversation with joel tamms on 11-11-2008 at 8:57 am pt I requested this account to be cancelled. I was given a cancellation #XXXXXXX for my membership#XXXXXXXXX. Although Joel said I need not send you this e-mail to cancel, per instructions from my attorney as well as the Washington state attorney general's office this e-mail is to confirm that cancellation. Should I be billed in the future any amount, by doing so you accept my terms and conditions which state you shall be held liable for an amount ten times the amount you have erroniously billed me each month thereafter until said billing ceases. Thank you, MY NAME

Two days later as a precaution I went to my bank and informed them what had transpired and showed them your rip-off report web site. They immediately cancelled my card and issued another and reversed all charges and yep, they'd already tried to take $98.00. I suspect more charges would have come later because they had no qualms about taking this money while doing nothing for me except trying to talk me into letting them steal more. THEY ARE REALLY ADVOCATES FOR THEIR OWN WALLETS AND NOTHING MORE IN MY OPINION. THEY PREY ON THE DISTRAUGHT AND VULNERABLE. THE LOWEST OF SCUM IMAGINABLE. I encourage anyone who has been billed by these morons to contact the fraud division at their respective bank and get them to look up rip-off report so they can quickly see whats going on and demand a new card number and have all charges reversed. Best of luck with your case. PS: Most (real) attorneys will tell you "you get what your willing to pay for. In this case you'll most likely get nothing in exchange for what you you think your paying for.
