FCNB Secured Credit Card Visa Rip-off company doing business in bad faith ripoff deception political corruption Portland Oregon
After being a very respectful, loyal customer to FCNB for more than 2 years, paying them 1 month in advance (every) month, never late; I went over my allowed balance 1 time and received an over limit fee (which I paid) and when I called in to inquire about why I was being charged a second time for the same thing, I was verbally disrespected by someone in the collections dept named Margie, when I requested to have my account closed on that day, they advised me that I had to pay them $126.00 over the phone BEFORE doing so (which I also did. Only to find out 2 weeks later (by pulling up my credit report) That FCNB placed a negative remark on my credit report (which was a BIG LIE), saying that the account was CLOSED BY THE CREDIT GRANTOR and not myself.
This situation occured in Feb 2001 and I am still fighting with them to change that negative comment on my credit report. I am also in the midst of sending them their LAST and FINAL payment for $26.00, so they can refund me my security deposit. And I also filed a formal complaint on them to the: Federal Trade of Comissioners Office/Better Business Bureau/Dept of Consumer Affairs/Dept of Banking and Finance...
