Open to opportunities to advance in life set me up for failure. During the holiday season in December, I decided to trust the F.L.M. During the month of January, the individual that I spoke with was David Karmann. I interacted with Mr. Karmann 90% of the time. He was very caring and supportive of my needs to do a modification on my home.

I felt very comfortable to trust this individual working for this company. I did everything that I was told to do by David Karmann. I sent in all the documents that were sent to me back to his office, either by fax or mail. I also sent the 3,495.00 to F.L.M. for legal fees and other charges to process my file. The payments were automaticly withdrawn from my checking account.

I was told that I would get my money refunded back to me if the modification does not finalize. After the money was received, I was communicating with eddie. I was told that she was the Rep handling my file. The switch took place during the month of March. During the month of May, I had a new Rep on my file and her name was Laura Renalds.

Laura Renalds called me and said that my file was in review with the lender and she would call me in two weeks or sooner.I have not heard from her since. I could not reach anyone from the office. I have left numerous phone calls when I received a notice of trustee sale on my front door. I have not heard from them since. The Federal Loan Modificaion Department did not show me any courtesy, dignity and/or respect. Forever internally wounded............

They are being sued in District Court by the FTC. You should contact the FTC to log your complaint and to be added to the list should the court order refunds/restitution to clients. You can read about the lawsuit at the FTC website. http://www.ftc.gov/opa/2009/06/fedloanmod.shtm Good luck.
