Sub: Damaged package received on Mar 16th 2005 , Integrated circuits smashed

I place one order with a company in U.S.A. (dtd 03/09/2005)

And as per invoice i paid 667.00 US$ plus bank charges to procure the goods and preferred to get the shipment using my FedEx account number . It was shipped by shipper on 14th of march 2005.

I received the package on 16th of March 2005, which was packed in FedEx bigger size box ( weight of parts approximately 200 gms) and took the normal delivery. When I opened the package after one hour I found the whole consignment of sophisticated integrated circuits were smashed and mutilated. I immediately reported to FedEx customer service along with pictures by email. Inturn they asked me to file a complaint with claims dept over phone. upon getting through lengthy IVR system one girl picked up the phone in claims and she rudely said she couldn't help me because her system is out of order and monitor screen is black out. Then she diverted me to her colleague and he listened to whole thing and finally I was transferred to claims head who assured me of clearing the claim within 3 working days (call lasted for 40 to 50 minutes). But till today I have no clues and my continuous follow up I found that this claim has been put into dustbin (trash) as usual. Due to unprofessional and inefficient (intentional) approach of FedEx I have lost huge business plus a customer and loss of the amount I paid to my supplier.

Couple of old claims were also handled similar way (delay tactics, customer forget by delaying and file is closed)

I feel FedEx- very irresponsible in solving the issue professionally for which we pay huge amount on freight. Also FedEx makes many unprofessional, unfounded excuses and wrong handling of claims which has put me to great hardship and mental agony plus loss of business and goodwill .

My parcel was crushed under heavy weight. This is how fedex handles the goods for which we pay cut throat freight charges expecting time bound and safe delivery...
