Fidelity Direct They sent me a letter stating I won a sweepstakes but I know I didn't they just wanted my account information. Seattle Washington
On 06/21/08 I received a letter form Fidelity Direct stating I had won a secong category publisher's clearing house and a compensation draw sweepstakes held on 01/04/2008. It says I was awarded a lump sum of $250,000.00 payable to me by certified check that will be delivered to me by their special courier company. They gave me a number to call and when I did I got a recording so I knew then it was a scam. They wanted me to deposit the check of $3,859.00 in my account and wait for it to clear and then send them $3,695.10 by money gram to cover non-resident govt.service tax and insurance. They wanted me to do this within 10 business days. So if anyone receives something like this in the mail know it is a scam and report it or rip it up immediately. They are just trying to get your account information and it's just not worth it at all.
