Tell us has your experience with this business or person been good? What's this?
I too, like at least one otherperson listed on the rip-off report, have been taken by what amounts to no more then a scam by a company either unwilling or unable to pay the technicians that this company is basing it's business model on.

I have been given plenty of stall tactics regarding my payment collection. I was first told that if I got my invoice in to them by March 30th, I would be paid the following week. That check never came. I was told that this was a simple oversite in their check processing and that I would be paid in the following pay cycle (April 15th). This time came & went and still, no check. I was assured it was mailed and asked to wait. A week later, nothing! I asked Linn Boyd to confirm my home address and he quoted it properly.

More then another week passed and still nothing. I then called the general phone line and demanded that I be paid immediatly. I may have vented on the guy answering the phone, but I never used harsh language or insulted anyone. However, I soon recieved a heated message (which I still have saved) from Linn stating how "rude" I was and that this behavior was intolerable at this company and that he was terminating our relationship. I then called him back a few times when he was too busy to speak and was told he would call back. Of course he never did. when I last reached him, I had him again verify my mailing address. He gave an improper address & blamed this error on me. He then said he would correct this with accounting and get back to me....surpise!!! He has yet to return my calls. I can't get thru to them at all anymore & suspect my phone number is being blocked by them.

I have left daily messages with them and need legal help in this matter. It seems that others have been robbed by this company as well.

Persistance should pay off

#2Consumer Suggestion

Dave, I'm Robert from Townsend MA, and I had a similar problem with FACG. Here's my take on the situation with them. I have been told that for some time ending in June a couple of people within FACG were embezzling funds meant to be paid to technicians. After their arrest there was a period of confusion followed by a new, highly restrictive protocol for paying technicians. In addition, Linn Boyd is a person who takes offense easily and cannot tolerate any suggestion that his company is anything but professional and efficient. Also, they have so many techs calling to be paid that when you call, they might confuse you with someone who was truly abusive. My suggestion is to be politely persistant with FACG. Are you sure that you understand their process for paying you? It's been a while since I went through it, but what I recall is that you first submit the completed work order, scanned and converted to PDF. Then FACG must process the order and credit your account. You may have to prod them for a few weeks or months to achieve this milestone. Finally you can request payment from your account. Receipt of your check may also take a few weeks. All of these steps seem to be tightly controlled by Linn, but he has other duties and travels a lot. He's probably under a tremendous amount of pressure to grow this company and avoid the disaster of a few months ago. You'll have to get used to his moods and sensitivity to any implied criticism. The trick is to call often enough that they don't forget you but not so often that they think you're a pest. You have already learned that anything you say that is not polite supplication will get you accused of atrocious abuse. This is not fair, but your objective is to get paid, not to be treated fairly. So be friendly and cooperative no matter how inappropriate it may seem to you. Think of this process as a exercise in diplomacy. I don't believe that FACG is trying to keep your money; they just have a clumsy paranoid process for paying techs. Keep your eye on the prize and the best strategy for getting it. Good luck.

Progress advertising campaign and expansion plans

#4Consumer Suggestion

Fri, June 17, 2005

I was impressed that FACG sent an e-mail detailing an advertising campaign and expansion plans. Let's hope this is successful for all parties involved. I was also given my account login info as requested in a timely manner. I have uploaded my signed work order to my account as well asfaxed and e-mailed this to Mr.Boyd.

On a positive note, Linn actually seems to be following through. I'll jump these latest hurdles If I need to. I have submitted my request and am re-sending my original invoice. I see in my online records that my contact info is correct, and so I am optimistic to expect my check soon.

my response I have been calling Linn weekly and he has never mentioned this before.

Something is certainly fishy. I have been calling Linn weekly and he has never mentioned this before. Since seeing this latest post he expressed that I must request this throught the web site. I already told him that I have not been able to access this in months.Besides, the only log-in access was for a user forum. He now says the we cannot communicate anything verbally and to use the website. But again, I have no log-in access as requested. Thank you guys for the suggestion to post a photo of the check. Linn: If you will post a copy of the check, as well as make sure that you send it to my proper address (I will see to it that you do not transpose a digit this time) I will donate 10% to ROR. (they deserve more, but I am broke) Karlton: No, we are not competitors of FACG. We are indy contractors who have worked jobs and have been chasing payment from Linn ever since. In fact we are spread all over the place. Thanks for your input

Linn why not post a photo copy of the check here. Some banks will even cash photo copies of real checks so you could save some money on FedEx that you could donate to Rip Off Report showing the world your a stand up guy, with a stand up company.

Mr. Boyd, the 'president' of Findacomputerguy.com, still will not take my calls. They don't even answer the phone for new business anymore. Obviously something is amiss. A search of this company on Google reveals several compalints.
