Findacomputer.com doesn't have their own technical staff. What they do is subcontract out to local computer service providers. When it comes for the local providers to collect they have to fight for their money.

This happened to my company. After emailing being hung up on and so forth I started posting in there public forums which lead them to agree to pay me the money owed.

I noticed that the amount being paid was cheaper than the agreed to amount. I sent an email and was informed that was to the agreed to amount. After checking over all the paperwork I discovered it was not the agreed to amount.

They stated that the new agreed to amount was changed verbally via phone. This never happened. Finally got through to Linn he stated "I either deal with the new pricing proactive or he will terminate our agreement."

We terminated our agreement.

We are a very big company. Mr. Linn called us to do a repair job for him. He told us that we will be paid 45 per hour. If parts are used we will pay your cost and 10% more on top. Will Our company took the call. We did the call and it took 2 hours on site. Mr Linn advised me that we will need to fax the signed workorder and an invoice. We have done what Linn asked us to do. Well we have checked out records and FACG still has a past due Bal of almost 90 days. We have send the Bal to our collection dept. We have also reported this as a bad dept to Expiran and TRW. We have also submittied the past due to DUN. We have come up with a new policy that any work that is sub contracted to us we will need a $500.00 deposit. Once that is used up then we can bill them. Also we make sure that we get a sub contract signed for all our sub contract work.

Linn attempt to post as a fake person again. Littleman Computers is a small company who has never had a person named Sam working for them. All the employees that started with me still work for me. I have worked for large ISPs (UUNET, Qwest, COVAD, and RCN), but I was never fired from any of them. Linn, Stop filing false reports.

Clarification He was not my employeer

#4REBUTTAL Owner of company

Wed, June 15, 2005

He was not my employeer. I did not recieve the letter till yesterday. After calling multiple times each day. As I have stated when I did recieve the letter it would leave tons of loop holes for me getting paid. I would have to find a way to upload them to their server which I don't have access to as well as other conditions I listed. In the end I will let the courts decide.

#5UPDATE EX-employee responds

I worked with John on one occasion, and he told me about this scam that he used to pull on companies. His method was he would go and do work for a company for a month or two and then tell them that he would try to "burn the company down" by posting information on the internet and taking customer information from them and selling it to the competition unless they paid him off, this is why he was terminated from a large ISP. After he was terminated he told me that he couldn't get another position. He said that he was going to start his own company and see what he could do with it. I quit working with John after he scammed a customer out of $400.00, for a fix that should have been $100.00. He has faimly in the legal community so he knows exactly what he should to to extort money from people. I am going to see if I can get the person that he scammed come here, I still work with her. It is sad to see John do this more to people.

I have never told any customers that. Your sources are wrong. The agreement you sent has an incredible amount of loopholes for you not to pay me. No one in their right mind would sign it. You also stated I would have to find a way to remove the post on ripoffreport.com and everywhere else about your company. You can't remove post from ripoffreport.com. You also wanted me to somehow remove post by other people. You wanted me to give you the names of others that I have been in contact with that has been ripped off by you. You refused to remove your false posting of my company. You also are trying to say I will have to resubmit the work orders which has been done multiple times. You also claim I caused you $500,000 worth of damage, and refuse to show me where these damages have came from. You also tried to sneak in trying to get any further legal action stuck in Texas. This is a BS agreement. My lawyer laughed at it. There is no way anyone with legal counsil would sign it.

You were sent the agreement four times John, and now after yesterday us sending it to your gmail account you said that you would not sign it. You are the one that started with this on 5/4/05 when you talked to the customer and told them that "you could save them money by doing them direct." Sign the agreement and return it to us, notarized of course and we will have your payment sent to you within 24 hours.

No letter of settlement. Linn would have be believe that the US Mail doesn't work, my email doesn't work and my fax machine doesn't work. He did send me an email which he modifed the email I sent him to make it look like I have given the rong fax number. I guess he didn't think I would check the orginal email to easily find the modification.

Linn now claims to have sent the form by mail, but I never recieved it. He was supposed to email me the form so I can get paid last Friday. I called and he blaimed it on my mail server and would send it again. It never came. He then again blaimed it on my mail server. I gave him my fax number. I guess he will say my fax machine must be broke because I never recieved it.

I never used any profanity. You gave me the option of taking the money (witch you said was sent out then wasn't and so forth. I recorded our conversation. I have also filed a complaint with the AG of Texas, and the BBB. I also have been in contact with several other techs that has yet to see a penny. computerrepair.com has several complaints about your company as well.

John, Thanx Again

#27UPDATE Employee

Sat, May 07, 2005

The issue with John is that currently we pay all of our techs registered at our site $45.00/hour at this time they are informed of this when they are on the phone to be dispatched to a call, and he decided that he would put $50.00 in the requested box, then after the work is done throw a fit over $50.00 from $45.00/hour with a 1 hour minimum. He did two service calls for us that he did very well with, but he decided that he would not be like other techs and be paid the $45.00/hour. Two or three days ago he decided that he would call complain and try to "strong arm" us with threats that he would try to get all of the techs and customers to not use us again etc. When John called me on my cell phone, he was very rude to me and has been rude to other people in the facility, I don't deal with this at all, remember both FindAComputerGuy.Com and ComputerRepair.Com in the end are YOUR CUSTOMERS! I know that there have been more service calls in his area that went to his competition. I talked to who assigned him the work orders and looked over all of the logs and they stated that it was at $45.00/hour, any tech that has done any work with us knows the standard deal is $45.00/hour with a guaranteed one hour minimum and 10% added to your cost for parts. I decided after dealing with this once before I would only pay him $45.00/hour and I was going to stand firm on my ground. I am standing firm, and I have already a meeting with my attorney about this, and I am taking their recommendation. Questions for the other techs, how many national contractors are currently spending less than the $45.00/hour? I know that we could lower our rates, but at this time we are not. He did not terminate the agreement with him, but after he used profane language to two of our employees he was banned from the database and any new jobs. Cheers John and Thanks! BTW: We are still going to pay him the agreed rate of $45.00/hour for a total of $101.25 and he can continue to b***h moan and complain about this extra $5.00/hour. And allow his competition get the business. You leaving the FindAComputerGuy.Com site does not bother me at all, as we have over 20 techs in your area John.
