Complaint Review: First Baptist Church Quinlan - Quinlan Texas

i have been attending this church for some time now... and while this man may have went to the church at some point pastor brad is no longer working at the church, beacons of grace holds no staff positions at the church, and john thomas miller is not a member of this congregation.

with that in mind whoever filed this report should have taken it up with the church staff first and if there was a concern for the children a police report should have been filed... this was a malicious attack on a good orginization who is trying to make a diffrence in the community shame on you. 

This report is three years old.  There is nobody in Beacons of Grace in a leadership or teaching role within the Church.  There is also no one in the church in leadership at Beacons of Grace.  They are completely separate institutions.  In order to work with our youth or children, you must pass an extensive background check and attend a training class.  In addition it is church policy that at least 2 individuals (adults). Be present with our youth and or children.  When I say it is a new day I mean it!

This individual also does not attend our church anymore either!

Wow, I cannot believe that you are being serious. I assume that you are joking.  Surely you don't advocate giving a 20 year old sex offender who had had sex with a 13 year old girl any supervisory position over children? You say that maybe it was no big deal, but in this case you know that it was. Forgiveness and stupidity are two different things. I trust God to watch over the aefety of my children, but I don't let them play in traffic. Even Christ refused to leap from the mountaintop because he said you don't test God. And you especially don't test Him with the life of a child.

As I said, we should certainly forgive the sinner, as Christ has done for us. But letting someone who is tempted to have sex with children be alone with your child in the hope that he has changed makes you an idiot. And letting someone else's child be alone with someone like that without telling them makes you guilty. Period.

Children are meant to be protected.  This occurance happened last year.  He was 20 and the little girl was 13.  He was charged and convicted of "Agg Sexual Assault Child".  If you went to the link that I provided instead of jumpimng to conclusions yourself, you would have seen that.  He is a convicted sex offender of a child.  He may be changing, but I am not willing to risk a child.  If you want to leave him alone with your child or young sister, go right ahead.  If something happens, then it is on your shoulders as you were warned.  I will not allow my conscious to be clouded because I did not stand up for innocent children.

Go to the website which I attached.  He was 20, and the girl was 13 years old.  It was a year ago not 15 years ago.  It was "Agg Sexual Assault Child" not indecent exposure (or whatever it would be called now) such as peeing in public.  He sexually assaaulted a child.  It is not passing judgement to protect children.  He made wrong choices and as I stated may have changed, but I am not willing to risk a child's safety.  Leave him alone with your child if you are so sure he has changed.

I am fully aware that I answer to my God, and He expects us to protect the innocent children.

 First you have NO CONTEXT to the sexual assualt. Its a charge on thier record. Second, EVERYONE desreves a second chance. SO NICE TO SEE YOUR CHRISTIAN CHARITY!!!! Just because someone is charged with a crime doesnt nessasarily mean that thats the crime they commited. Third, YOUR CHILDREN ARE IN DANGER JUST WAKING UP!! There are so many events that can and do happen that harm children that have NOTHING to do with a sexual predator. Lastly, everyone deserves a chance to change and improve. A church is an EXCELLENT place to help get you life back in order. There is support and caring and people who will help you.

All you have shown is that YOU are a closed minded individual and not worthy to even step inside a church. Im not a religious person but I have read the Bible quite a few times. All through out the Bible there are instances of those that follow the christian belief giving of themselves and helping others. YOU ARE A CLOSED MINDED PERSON WHO GIVES INTO FAKE FEAR. You see something someone has done IN THE PAST and you condemn them without giving them a chance.

Remind us when exactly it was that you attained DIVINITY? Oh thats right, YOU HAVE NEVER ACHIEVED THIS! You hold someone else to a higher standard then you hold even yourself. YOU ARE NOT PERFECT!! THEY ARE NOT PERFECT!! Maybe try giving them a chance. They could be trying to turn their life around. Instead of bashing them for something in their past why do you not reach out and help this person. Maybe TALK to them and find out the WHOLE STORY?? They could have been charged because they took a piss in public. They could have been charged because they were 18 and dateing a 16 year old. They could have been 13 and and been experimenting with the opposite sex. A normal process. But you wont know until you TALK with them. Dont JUST look at what you find online and accept it as gosple. There is always more to the story.

But WHY would you do that?? Its much much easier to be anti-christian and post negativly online. Oh sure your ANON to the public, but youre not ANON to god. One day your narrow mindedness and selfishness WILL have to be answered for. Its YOUR god that you have to speak to.
