First Credit Services won't stop harrassing parents of child debtor who moved out years ago! ripoff Woodbridge New Jersey
We receive several calls a day from Kevin at 800-392-4029 Ext 164 asking to speak to our oldest son who has not lived here in over 5 years.
Neither my wife nor I know his phone # or address other than the city and state in which we think he currently resides, which my wife revealed on several occasions to Kevin.
The FDCPA appears to protect the consumer - what protection and/or recourse do parents or other family members have against such harrassing practices? FWIW, we have never co-signed on any debts with our oldest son.

Send what is known as a "Cease Communications" letter to this collection agent via Registered Mail with Return Receipt. this will cost $3 Write something like: Pursuant to my rights under federal law I do not wish to be contacted regarding a relative's debt. You are to cease communication with us regarding this matter. It's important to send this via Registered Mail with Return Receipt. otherwise they'll pull the "we have no record of receiving this" game. Good luck!
