Hello,
I am going to make this short and sweet. I am in a similar situation. However, I know and understand fully to READ THE FINE PRINT at the bottom of ANY CONTRACT. Doesn't matter if it's for a utility company or not. I am recently getting Sales people coming to my door, demanding to see a copy of my light bill. I asked him why he NEEDED to see a copy of my light bill, he said that he wanted to see the rates and make sure that we were getting the rates that supposed to be alloted to us. Anyways, few times they have been to my house DEMANDING to see copies of my light bill. One time I told him that I didn't have a copy of my light bill, then he asks me to get on my PC so he can look at my bill. I thought that was rather tacky of him demanding to see the bill, also demanding to step in my house? I am going to phone First energy, in the morning and ask them why they come to a community, that states no soliciting? At best, they wait for the community manager to leave then show up after. I told repeatedly told them i am NOT showing you a copy of my bill. They sent a few contracts in the mail, I read the fine print says there is a fee to cancel. Just like cancelling a cell phone bill contract. That doesn't make any sense, as to how First Energy can claim to have lower fee's then AEP? Do NOT fall for them when they come to your house and DEMAND to see a copy of your bill! this time he came again, hubby said are the one harassing my wife to switch over, the sales person said yes, and hubby threatened to call local authorities. I am not putting up with this nonsense anymore! Will update soon as I find out how to complain to their advertising department. You can't switch without giving personal information out!

Just to update my earlier post: It has been 48 business hours since I spoke to CSR Brian at FES, and still no call from his supervisor.
