In May of 2010, I paid a mover $465 to move my college apartment furniture back to my mothers house. (From Orlando, FL to Long Beach Island, NJ) I found the company on UShip.Com and the moving company was named, First Impression Movers INC. The man who was moving my furniture claimed to be, Jonathan Thomas from Virginia. He seemed nice, came with a moving van and a woman. They moved my stuff out quickly, cleanly and politely. "Jonathan" had me sign paper work and said he would see me on Saturday. (This was a Tuesday). He left and I got in my car and drove to NJ. Saturday came along and he never showed up, I called him and he said he had a death in the family and that he would be there by Tuesday at the latest. Tuesday came along and this continued until June 6th when Newark Greyhound Station called me and said that they had 4 boxes. (I live 2 hours from Newark on a good day). 6 1/2 hours later I got 3 boxes and a plastic bin. It was my clothes and personal belongings but not my furniture!! I called "Jonathan" and he disconnected his phone. He told my mom via email that he was no longer in the moving business and that he would find a way to send me my stuff. Obviously, this never happened. We contacted the police only to find out that 4 other police stations had a case to find him! I went on UShip.com and went to reviews, for the first 40 reviews, first impression movers had excellent reviews then all of a sudden people were irate, leaving furious reviews saying he stole their stuff. A man that moved to Canada got his entire house contents stolen, a man moving to Arkansas got his Jeep Wrangler stolen, a few other people had bulk items stolen. The police found the REAL Jonathan Thomas, he is a retired CIA agent from Virginia and has had his identity stolen. The fake Jonathon Thomas stole his entire identity and people's entire belongings.
